Blue Crabs Boil With Garlic Butter
A Blue Crab Boil With Garlic Butter Is The Perfect Dinner To Feed A Family
One thing that I have always loved doing is catching blue crabs. When I was younger my dad would always buy me a crab net that I would place chicken thighs in to attract the crabs. I would drop the net off of a pier and catch blue crabs for days. The fun wasn't in catching them, it was showing them off to people walking on the pier who were not use to seeing crabs. We did not catch them just for fun, they were to eat. They had to have a shell of 5" to keep and each person could keep 50 crabs. Needless to say we never had issues with our limit numbers. After a day of fishing and catching crabs we would have a bucket of blue crabs for cooking. We have the perfect method for cooking your freshly caught crabs. It is a southern way to have boils. This is the perfect blue crab boil to feed your friends and family.

Directions For Cooking Blue Crabs:
At the house we had a large bucket that we would make low country boils with that we would use to cook our crabs. We would add water and bring it to a boil. I would cut a lemon in half and add it to the boil. Next I would add a Zatarains boil bag or just a box of Old Bay seasoning. Drop your blue crabs into the boil and allow for them to cook for about 10 minutes. The crabs will turn a reddish color when finished.
In order to make your dipping sauce add 1 cup butter and 1/2 cup chopped fresh garlic into a bowl safe for the microwave. Carefully cook until butter is melted and hot enough to serve. This will be the perfect crab dipping sauce.
