Urchin Minnow 2" Crappie & Panfish Soft Plastic Bait, 5 Pack
$ 8.50
The Urchin Minnow is a 2" crappie bait built to get bit when fish are finicky. A 1" urchin with a ring of fine, flexible tentacles is paired with a 1.5" minnow, so you get two triggers in one soft plastic: urchin tentacles that flare and pulse on the fall, and a minnow that swims and vibrates on a slow retrieve. It's a natural fit for crappie, bluegill, perch, and other panfish.
Why anglers like the Urchin Minnow
- Two actions in one bait: flaring urchin tentacles plus a swimming 1.5" minnow
- Panfish-sized profile: 2" total length (1" urchin + 1.5" minnow)
- Glow-in-the-dark colors: charge with a flashlight or UV light for dusk, night, muddy water, deep water, and ice fishing
- Soft, flexible plastic that moves with the slightest twitch
- 5 baits per pack
How to fish it
- Crappie jig: thread on a 1/32 to 1/16 oz jig head and swim it slowly or let it fall around brush piles and docks
- Under a float: suspend it for bluegill, sunfish, and crappie holding off cover
- Ice fishing: jig it vertically; the tentacles keep moving even when the bait is held still
- Jig trailer: add it to a hair jig or tube for extra action
